Social Media & Public Relations

When it comes to social media relating to public relations there is such a wide variety of what can be done. Some companies use social media to see how many fans will follow them, but as a PR major I understand that social media has a far bigger spectrum than just fans following. For a paper that I wrote for class I studied the Johnson and Johnson Camp Baby campaign. With this event taking place in March of 2008, social media was not used as often for companies, but when researching further Johnson & Johnson campaigns they have used more media outlets such as youtube, and moms and children blogsites. All in all social media is a wonderful thing in the PR industry if you use it to the best of the sites ability.
